I joined PPDTLA almost a month ago, and I am already improving my balance, stretching and posture. I didn’t have any experience with pilates before, but with the help of the instructors, I am improving my workout routines. Every class is a challenge and the instructors are great. Of course, I still get sore after the sessions and sometimes I still feel stiff and uncoordinated, but I love the feeling at the end; feeling stronger and confident. I totally recommend it.

I am on week two of my new membership and I wonder why I did not join two years ago when you opened. I have been wanting to add more stretching or yoga into my routine. Pilates is exactly what I need to my routine. I am finding myself sore in places I forgot about. The staff is very helpful as I am new, with my form and has friendly patience with me.

I am very stiff and never worked out my muscles like this ever. However, since I joined Pilate Plus, I feel very energetic and feel good after my work out. The first two classes were really tough. My entire body was so sore that it was hard to even walk. It’s been almost 2 months since I joined this class and so far I’m loving it!!

I’ve been going to PPDTLA for almost two months now.  I started with my free class and I was immediately hooked!  I signed up for the new monthly unlimited series and got my money’s worth by working out almost every single day of my unlimited month. The quality of the instructors and small class sizes are key to the success of PPDTLA and the reason why I decided to commit to a 6-month unlimited series. The number of classes available on the schedule makes it easy to fit in a workout before or after work.  I especially like the fact that I can workout everyday and alternate between cardio and strength training.  My favorite classes are SD with Sara, SPX/SPX 80 with Judy, and REV with Brian.  I wish they would add more REV classes since Brian’s class is in such high demand.  As membership grows, I hope they will consider lowering the 24 hour cancellation policy to possibly 12 hours as things do come up such as having to work late or emergencies.  However overall this policy has helped keep me dedicated and committed to the schedule I set out for myself each week.  The key benefits of PPDTLA are the variety of classes and times, easy online access (including Facebook/Twitter tools), and most importantly the personal attention you receive in class.  PPDTLA has enabled me to make a lifestyle change and keep committed to my health and fitness goals.

I absolutely love PPDTLA. I wanted strength training without getting bulky doing the same exercises at the gym, and I’m personally too impatient to get though a class of yoga. I usually go to about 3 pilates classes and 1 cycling class a week.

Each instructor has their own unique way of putting exercises together. My personal favorite instructor is Hollin because she has the toughest routines and a very warm personality. Erin is a great instructor as well. She is tough and pushes us to finish the exercise. For a more holistic and calming approach to pilates, Jennifer is the instructor to go to. Her Friday night classes make a great start to a weekend.

Cycling at the studio is fun too because Brian is an experienced and enthusiastic instructor. I just wish there was more space.

My only dislike is the $25 dollar fee for cancelling within 24 hours or not showing up. I understand that there should be a fee for not coming to class, but I think 24 hours is a bit too early to start charging. Especially because people are often on the waiting list. I would prefer to have the flexibility to cancel within even 8 hours of the class.

All in all I really do enjoy the studio and the instructors. For real results, people have to realize going to a couple pilates class is not going to cut it. No matter how excellent gyms or exercise studios are, it really takes an adjustment your lifestyle to get results. PPDTLA however, is one step closer to achieving that goal because the amazing instructors will push you to see that your body is capable of more than you could imagine.

I’ve been going to PPDTLA for almost two months now.  I started with my free class and I was immediately hooked!  I signed up for the new monthly unlimited series and got my I’ve been going to Pilates Plus for three months and I am loving it.  The exercises are demanding but because we are constantly moving and challenging our minds and limbs to do the exercises well,  the 55 minutes flies by so quickly.  I love the calm euphoria that follows after each session — I love it!  Thanks for offering such a supportive environment in which I am learning what my body can do.  Lunges and bungee kicks — bring it on!

Just wanted to tell you and the staff that Pilates Plus is awesome! I was very much in doubt on my first visit, but was extremely surprised. Normally, my idea of a workout is a hike, bike, or rock climb. Living in downtown Los Angels those options are harder to get to at times. My wife desperately wanted to start working out to get in shape for the summer, and found Pilates Plus. She convinced me reluctantly that I needed to join her for the first class to support her. That first class was all it took, I was hooked! It was one of the more intense workouts that I have had in a long time. The low impact, form focus approach was perfect to improve my posture and target the weak areas that are usually ignored. The resistance of 4 or 5 repetitions on one exercise was surprising strenuous. I walked out the first class feeling energized, taller, and feeling like I was worked. It has been great attending ever since. Even when I feel stronger and the exercise is getting easier, one of the trainers adds a little change or points out a flaw in my form it becomes just as challenging. Keep up the great classes and tell everyone they should go to Pilates Plus.

I grew up dancing and when I stopped 5 years ago, the weight came on.  Since then, I’ve tried working out at the gym, yoga, going to bootcamps, but I couldn’t stick with any of it.  When I began going to PPDTLA I instantly loved it, and had to get a membership ASAP.  I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with all instructors, who all push in gentle but productive ways. Not only are the instructors amazing, but I feel stronger each week, feel healthier and am trimming down.  Because of all this, I know I’m going to stick it out with PPDTLA!

I absolutely hate going to the gym to work out.  But I have been interested in Pilates and found PPDLTA website.  I decided to take a free class and dragged my unwilling husband to go with me.  One class and I was hooked.  To my surprise, so was my husband.  We both signed up the next day and have been going for the past few months.  It’s expensive but if you sign up for the monthiy unlimited, it’s not too bad.  Also got a deal on the core package at the end of the year so we get extra savings.

We love it.  It is a great workout.  After 50 minutes, you’re sweating and shaky and feeling great.   It focus on core strength, flexibility and posture.

We go 3 times a week because that is all we can handle.  I’m too sore to do more.  It’s only been a few months but my hubby now has his 6 pack back.  I’m still working on mine but I have more energy and I feel stronger.  Both our posture seems to change.  I know I am standing up taller.

All the instructors, I’ve worked with are great.  They will work you and all with a super sweet smile.  Try it!  Won’t be disappointed.

I feel great and I’m so happy I found this place that will whip me back into shape. Yay!
